Their mission is to address the injustices of our food system through local, personal stories of workers, educators, policymakers, and consumers, covering topics such as food waste, food security, indigenous foodways, soil health, food justice, and food policy.

Community, Serve Us has partnered with From Soil to Soul, a powerful documentary series exploring food sovereignty and justice through the voices of BIPOC farmers, youth leaders, and community organizers. Together, we’re combining storytelling with real-world tools to help viewers move from awareness to impact. Each episode is supported by companion content, interactive discussions, and engagement opportunities hosted on the Community, Serve Us platform. This partnership transforms viewers into contributors—connecting them directly with the people and ideas driving change.

Grow Local, Act National

Through curated screenings, live forums, and idea boards, our collaboration creates space for youth, educators, and community members to engage with the issues raised in the series. Members can take part in school-based campaigns, connect with urban farms, and contribute to community-led solutions. By amplifying grassroots action and providing a digital roadmap for participation, we’re making it easier to turn insight into lasting change. This is storytelling that doesn’t stop at the screen—it invites you in.

Community, Serve Us x From Soil to Soul

Community, Serve Us is proud to partner with From Soil to Soul, an 8-part documentary series dedicated to advancing food sovereignty through storytelling, education, and grassroots action. Both initiatives share a core belief: that systemic change begins at the community level, powered by lived experience and supported by innovative tools. This collaboration merges From Soil to Soul’s powerful visual storytelling with the participatory infrastructure of Community, Serve Us, offering audiences both a deeper understanding of food justice and the means to engage directly with solutions.

As part of this collaboration, Community, Serve Us will support the release of From Soil to Soul by offering companion resources, digital tools, and engagement pathways that align with each episode’s focus. Members of the Community, Serve Us platform will be able to watch curated episodes, contribute to solution-driven discussions, and connect with youth leaders, regenerative farmers, and educators featured in the series. In doing so, we aim to move beyond awareness—giving audiences a concrete roadmap to local action and policy influence.

Special attention is being given to activating youth participation, with both platforms highlighting young leaders and creating programming with high schools and universities. Our shared goal is to turn viewing into action, allowing students and educators to explore local food systems, participate in moderated forums, and even connect with featured farms and organizations. From screenings and live discussions to idea boards and immersive learning tools, this collaboration is designed to bring visibility to existing community solutions—and multiply their impact across the country.

By linking From Soil to Soul’s storytelling with the engagement tools of Community, Serve Us, we’re creating a space where people can learn, connect, and contribute in meaningful ways. Together, we’re not just spotlighting the urgent challenges of our food system—we’re helping to co-create pathways forward.
